Editorial Policy

TechTweak is a smartphone specification and comparison site. This page explains where our data comes from, what our rankings mean, and how to report a mistake.

Where specifications come from

Phone specifications are compiled from manufacturer product pages and press releases, and from established specification databases. Where a phone page lists its sources under “Sources & verification”, those are the references used for that page. Benchmark scores such as AnTuTu and Geekbench are published results, not our own measurements.

What we do not do

We do not run hands-on lab tests of battery life, cameras or displays. When a page describes performance, it is based on published specifications and benchmark data. Pages for upcoming or rumored phones are marked as such and may change before launch.

Prices

Prices are reference launch prices in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Local prices, carrier deals and taxes vary by market. TechTweak does not sell phones.

Rankings and comparisons

Lists such as Best Phones by Price group recent phones by reference price and order them by release date and benchmark score. Comparison pages summarise the differences in published specifications. Each list states the criteria it uses.

News

News articles report on announcements, leaks and industry events. Leaks and rumors are labelled as such, and articles link to the original source where one is available.

Corrections

Found a wrong specification or price? Contact us with the page link and the correct value, ideally with a source. We review every report and update the page when the correction is confirmed.

Independence and advertising

TechTweak may show advertising. Advertisers and manufacturers do not review or approve our content before publication, and they cannot pay to change a specification, ranking or comparison.
